Overview

INDIA

One of the oldest civilizations in the world, India is a mosaic of multicultural experiences. With a rich heritage and a plethora of attractions, the country is among the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It covers an area of 32,87,263 sq km, stretching from the snow-capped heights of the Himalayas to the rainforests of the south. As the seventh largest country in the world, India stands out from the rest of Asia, marked by mountains and sea, which give the country a distinct geographical entity.
Surrounded by the Great Himalaya in the north, it stretches south and into the Tropic of Cancer, tapering into the Indian Ocean between the Bay of Bengal in the east and the Arabian Sea in the west. As we travel the country, we are greeted by diverse nuances of cuisines, religions, arts, crafts, music, nature, lands, tribes, history and adventure sports. India has a mesmeric fusion of the old and the new. As bustling ancient bazaars meet luxurious malls, majestic monuments accompany luxurious historical hotels, tourists can get the best of both worlds. Head to the mountains, enjoy a beach retreat or take a cruise down the golden Thar. India has options for everyone.
